| Remote Power provided a month long course in photovoltaic design and applications for international participants from developing countries. This course which took place in Fort Collins, Colorado and consisted of lectures, site visits and laboratories. The laboratories were important to give participants an opportunity to work with equipment and learn proper installation. Training was given in business development and marketing. Each participant was required to do an engineering design project along with a final exam to complete the course. |

| This course was one of the first of its type in the US to provide technical, hands-on, and business training to participants from developing countries. Over 40 countries sent participants including Sri Lanka, Peru, Cyprus, India, Indonesia, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana. Today many of the graduates are working in the renewable energy field. |
